Recently, The Canadian Traveler, an innovative service offered to Canadian consumers launched its web presence. Available online at http://www.thecanadiantraveler.ca the website has been live since February 24th, 2009 and is already experiencing steady growth with significant opportunities to grow in the future.

This site is designed for Canadians to learn from the experiences of their peers abroad. The content is entirely driven by user contributions. This format gives users a true picture of the unique Canadian vacation experience, helping them make important decisions related to their trip. We acknowledge that limiting our market to Canadian consumers has certain restrictions; however, this also contributes to a higher quality experience to the limited market share available to us. We offer a unique, refreshing experience to the travel review website in a number of ways. For starters, we offer neither vacation booking nor any third party reservation agents. This, in our opinion, ensures true unbiased content is available to our consumers. Further, our Ask a Traveler section allows users to ask any questions regarding their trip and await a reply from another knowledgeable traveler or a member of our team; allowing for increased dialogue and participation. This innovative approach, combined with the uniquely Canadian perspective available ensures quality content. From an advertising perspective you are insured quality views of your advertisement as the site is intended explicitly as a resource for Canadians planning their next trip.

As outlined above the intention is to keep external advertising to a minimum. In an effort to make this a successful financial venture, a limited amount of advertising is necessary, but the intention is for this to be done in a tasteful, unobtrusive manner. This ensures that users have peace of mind regarding the sites content, its motives, and its navigability. From an advertisers standpoint it allows an opportunity to display an ad in a highly visible way on a site where users are confident in the content. Presently a third party 728x90 Leaderboard is displayed in the footer of the main page and each sub site. We are offering advertising space of similar size and content in the header of these pages. There is no intention to offer further advertising opportunities at this juncture. With this in mind you are ensured priority placement by agreeing to place an advertisement today.

We are pursuing our own promotion through a number of means. Most visibly we are running a targeted ad campaign on Facebook averaging in excess of 18,500 page impressions daily. Additionally, we are taking a number of steps to increase our presence in both print and online media. Our advertisers are seeing significant volume for a new website with an average of 400 page impressions per day. This number is growing on a continual basis.

CPM Advertising

Cost per impression advertising allows the advertiser to set their own budget. By setting a monthly advertising cap and daily impressions limits advertisers can determine how long and how often their advertisement will run, and how much (maximum) it will cost.

Our current advertising rate is $0.003 per impression or $3.00/1000 impressions. We think that our $3.00 CPM rate is highly competitive throughout the industry.

There are a number of flexible options with CPM Advertising, please contact us to discuss them.

Flexible Options

Please feel free to submit your own advertising proposals which may include an alteration in price, or the supplement of product, flight credit, etc. which can be used to establish company experience or given as part of contests to encourage consumer participation.

If you have interest, but are unwilling to sign an agreement at this time, please let us know and we will contact you again in the future.

Please note: advertisements must be submitted for review prior to placement on The Canadian Traveler.
